Customer Loyalty Programs
Your top customers are enthusiastic advocates. Give them something to crow about!
Delight your best customers and they’ll not only buy more from you, they’ll become goodwill ambassadors and tell others all about you. The first step is determining who they are.
Identify your top customers.
Categorize your customers in priority according to:
- Recency of purchase
- Dollars spent
- Frequency of orders
- Items purchased
Create a best customer contact plan
Make sure you communicate with your best customers often. Most companies dramatically underestimate the number of contacts that can and should be made.
As long as your emails have good content and real benefits for your customers, they’ll be welcome. (Conversely, don’t waste those precious contacts on product losers or empty messages.)
Develop incentives to keep them coming back
- HONORS CLUBS - where they can join for a small fee and get a discount and other benefits
- REWARDS PROGRAMS - where they can get something of value based on purchases
- CONTINUITY PROGRAMS - where they can receive products on a regular basis automatically and get better pricing because of it. You may want to test an initial incentive to start the process.
